Inspired by “Science Is Fiction: 23 Films” by Jean Painlevé; the capsule collection was created in a hospital waiting room. This “sartorial docu-fiction” records amusing and surrealist moments in a hospital’s daily life, spanning a period of two months. Much like Jean Painlevé’s films that present scientific imagery in a way that revolutionized the documentary genre, the collection, devised with medical materials, reflects the watching/watched duality of the patient, the anonymous and aseptic conditions of the space, as well as the peculiarity of this contained universe as it constantly oscillates between science, reality and fiction.
